I remember some of those old-style lamps that were “western style”. They had wagon wheels or whole wagons with horses pulling them. Ugly? or what.
Before my father used to export similar to that kind of lamps to Milan Italy. It’s just sad that my father’s handicraft business died when I was just a kid. I love classic design, it brings sweet memories of my childhood. I hope they will still continue to produce this kind of products and not replace them with cheap plastic materials that can harm the environment.
While it’s true that the base can’t break, don’t forget that you can still break the electrical components in the base. Even a slight dent in the housing for the bulb can make a lamp dangerous to run. So, you’ll need to be just as careful with these as with other lamps.
